Richard Reid, Partner
Richard Reid formed Argosy Partners Ltd. in 1995 to advise and invest in small and medium-sized Canadian businesses. Richard was introduced to the world of corporate finance when he got his first job working as a phone clerk on the floor of the Toronto Stock Exchange for Wood Gundy.
Prior to forming Argosy, Richard worked as a stockbroker at Burns Fry Ltd. and a partner of Gordon Capital Corp., an investment banking firm in Toronto. During his time at Gordon Capital from 1983 to 1995, Richard raised $60M for the Canadian Mezzanine Fund and eventually took over the fund’s management role. Richard left Gordon Capital in 1995 and formed Argosy Partners Ltd.
